Country Focal Persons
Ongoing collaborations in countries
Past collaborations
P4H Country Focal Persons (P4H-CFPs) are an essential component of the P4H Network, whose primary role is to support social health protection and health financing processes and reforms at the country level.
P4H-CFPs work closely with relevant government agencies, civil society organizations, and other key stakeholders to enhance the capacity and knowledge of policymakers and implementers to design, implement and manage effective health financing and social health protection schemes. They play a critical role in building the necessary political will, institutional capacities, and sustainable financing mechanisms to ensure universal health coverage (UHC) for all.
P4H-CFPs also provide technical assistance, facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity development activities, and support policy dialogue and advocacy to advance social health protection and health financing agendas at the country level. By doing so, they help to ensure that health systems are better equipped to respond to the health needs of populations, particularly those who are vulnerable and marginalized, and that progress is made towards achieving UHC. P4H-CFPs, therefore, play a crucial role in advancing the P4H network’s vision of contributing to improved health outcomes and the well-being of people worldwide through more effective health financing and social health protection policies and practices.
Country Focal Persons
P4H country focal persons (P4H-CFPs) support social health protection (SHP) and health financing (HF) processes and reforms at the country level. P4H-CFPs play the role of honest broker in SHP and HF policy dialogue and facilitate collaboration within the P4H Network.
