Strengthening health financing systems has been a stressful task, not only for developing countries but also for developed countries.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span>This study attempts to take four Asian countries (China, Singapore, the Republic of Korea and Mongolia) as examples to analyse the impact of the COVID-19<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span>pandemic on their health financing systems and their response.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span><span><span><span>A team of experts from Fudan University, the Asian Development Bank, the World Health Organization\u2019s Regional Office for the Western Pacific and the P4H Coordination Team of<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span><span><span><span>the P4H Network adapted a theoretical framework on health financing to the characteristics<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span><span><span><span>of Asian countries.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span>Within the framework, the health financing system focuses on four<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span><span><span><span>response domains to adapt to the influence of the pandemic: resource mobilization;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span><span><span><span>allocation and purchase of health resources; social health protection and equity; and<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span><span><span><span>sustaining progress towards universal health coverage (UHC).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d2s5011zf9ka1j.cloudfront.net\/sites\/default\/files\/2022-11\/Strengthening-health-system-financing-COVID-19.pdf\">Download Strengthening health system financing in the context of COVID-19 (PDF)<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A comparison among four Asian countries&nbsp; The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a double shock \u2013 health and economic.
